WENDY E. HARTMANN was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 28, 1954, and received her B.S. in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Oswego in 1976. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of LaVerne College of Law in 1998 and her LL.M. in Taxation from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2000. Ms. Hartmann is admitted to the California Bar, the U.S. District Court, Central District of California, the United States Supreme Court and the United States Tax Court.
Ms. Hartmann serves on the Board of Trustees of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, and serves as the Co-Chairperson of its Estate Planning and Probate Section. She is active in the Taxation and Estate Planning and Probate Sections of The State Bar of California and serves as Co-Chairperson of the Estate and Gift Tax Sub-Committee of the Taxation Section. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Warner Center Estate and Tax Planning Council.
Prior to receiving her J.D. and LL.M, she practiced for more than twenty years in the areas of taxation, accounting, estate planning, business management and development, and human resources, as well as serving for several years as a Vice President at a nationwide human resource consulting firm. Ms. Hartmann now specializes in the areas of estate planning, trust administration, probate. taxation, and business formation and development.
Ms. Hartmann lectures frequently to both community and professional groups iin the areas of estate taxation as well as on the evolving domestic partnership laws.
In addition to the above, Ms. Hartmann is certified by the State Bar of California, as a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law.
